For the first time in about a month, the Galesburg boys basketball team hosted a home game at John Thiel Gym Friday night. But the home court advantage wasn't able to help them overcome a sharp-shooting Rock Island team as the the Silver Streaks fell 79-48 to the Rocks. The Silver Streaks drop to 5 - 15 on the season, and 0 - 6 in conference play. The night at John Thiel Gym was a Gold-Out Game hosted by "Give Back, Galesburg". The Silver Streaks begin a six game road trip Tuesday (1/23) night when they head to Quincy High School to take on the Blue Devils in another Western Big 6 conference game.
