A recently completed affordable housing development in North London is now home to 96 households that were previously identified as homeless, according to the council. It forms part of a wider 461-home redevelopment of a former bus garage, which will ultimately deliver more than 40 per cent affordable homes when complete. The wider scheme is expected to support around 1,200 residents when complete, including households moving into the 155 affordable council homes at the recently developed Shillibeer House. There have already been 103 households who have moved into the new homes on the site, 96 of whom were previously identified as homeless, Brent Council has said. Shillibeer House forms part of a wider 461-home mixed-use redevelopment of the former Bus Depot site.
