For the Galesburg boys basketball team Tuesday night, the 3rd quarter is when the game got out of hand as Sterling out scored the Silver Streaks 27-11. Leading scorers for Galesburg included Jackson Crock Sibbing with 12 points and Tyree Taylor scored 11. The Silver Streaks shot 31% from the field and 33% from 3-point range, while Sterling shot 51% from the field. Following the game, Galesburg head coach Chad Thompson presented the game ball to Sterling's Lucas Austin as he became the Golden Warriors' all-time leading scorer. The Galesburg boys have two more conference games at home to wrap up the regular season.
