The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully auctioned a 527 kanal and 10 marla land parcel owned by Bahria Town in Murree District to recover outstanding tax liabilities, sources told ProPakistani. The property, located at Mauza Kathar Sharqi on Angori Road in Tehsil Murree, District Rawalpindi, had been put up for public auction after multiple attempts under the provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and the Income Tax Rules, 2002. Unlike an earlier auction attempt, where businessman Musawar Abbasi had emerged as the successful bidder, this time the highest bid was submitted by a different buyer. Sources said the successful bidder is another Pakistani businessman. Sources added that the total amount, including taxes, required to purchase the property was roughly Rs.
