In the Regional Championship game Thursday night at John Thiel Gym, the Galesburg girls basketball team struggled to put points on the board and fell to the Morton Potters, 41-29. The only player with double-digits scoring for the Silver Streaks was Kiarra Kilgore with 10 points, along with 4 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist. In the 3rd quarter, a key play by freshman Jozalyn Kilgore got the Streaks right back in the game. So for her great effort coming off the bench, Jozalyn Kilgore was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game. The high school basketball careers come to an end for Silver Streaks seniors Kiarra Kilgore, Antonia Kisler, Alexis Edgerson, Syriah Boyd and Addison Peck.
