Monday night at John Thiel Gym, the Galesburg boys basketball team beat Geneseo for the third time this season and advanced in the Regionals. The Silver Streaks won, 57-39, and improve to 11-20 on the season. Galesburg will now play the defending 3A state champs, the Metamora Redbirds, Wednesday night in the Geneseo Regional Semifinals game. Galesburg shot 42% from the field and 35% from 3-point range. The Silver Streaks won in the turnover battle, only giving up the ball 8 times to Geneseo's 14 turnovers.
