The Galesburg Silver Streaks football team went on the road to Geneseo for their 2nd Western Big 6 Conference game of the season. The Streaks had a number of opportunities in the 2nd half to get the points that they needed, but it was Geneseo that prevailed and got their first conference win of the season. Jamar Range had an incredible game with 36 carries for the Silver Streaks for a total of 349 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game was Streaks' offensive center, Asher Whitcomb. Due to a referee shortage, next week's game at Van Dyke Field has been moved to Thursday (10/3) night for the Streaks' conference game with the Quincy Blue Devils.
