CM Punk recently reflected on the nature of his connection with wrestling fans, noting that he thinks it would be hard to turn him as a result. Despite a long time away from wrestling and a controversial exit from AEW, Punk has remained popular with the wrestling fanbase at large. Punk was asked about the matter in an interview with Dave LaGreca on Busted Open Radio. He noted that his connection comes from the authenticity he has and that much like John Cena’s heel turn, it would be hard to turn him to a heel. We saw it recently with John Cena’ I don’t think people really want to boo Randy [Orton], I think the situation’s got to be right.
