I’m making a Shaker style sewing table with flame birch for side panels and drawer fronts. Do any of you have experience in finishes to highlight the grain? I read that some use Transtint in an alcohol base before applying the finish. I was thinking of using Waterlox for the finish. Attached pictures of the assembled carcass and the panels, wiped with mineral spirits.
