In a hard-fought game Thursday night at Sterling High School, the Galesburg girls basketball team fell to the Sterling Golden Warriors for their first loss in Western Big 6 Conference play this season, 56-50. The Silver Streaks are now 17-4 on the season and 6-1 in the conference. Galesburg and Sterling are now tied for 1st in the conference. Galesburg shot 19 of 51 from the field, 7 of 19 from beyond the arc, and 5 of 9 from the free-throw line. Jozalyn scored 11 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and had a couple of steals in the game.
