World number one Judd Trump will aim for his second Shanghai Masters title after beating world champion Wu Yize 10-6 to reach this year's final. But Trump recovered from a slow start to lead 4-2 and the 2019 world champion did enough to stay in front, compiling two century breaks of his own. The 36-year-old Englishman will now play in his fifth Shanghai final, having claimed his first win in 2024. He will face either Kyren Wilson or Zhao Xintong in Sunday's best-of-21 decider, with the second semi-final taking place on Saturday. "It is always good to start quickly in Shanghai," said Trump.
