Friday night, the Galesburg High School boys basketball team traveled to Rock Island to take on the #9 ranked Rocks at the Rock Garden. There was no upset, but the final score is not indicative of how well the Silver Streaks played and how much they battled Rock Island through 2-1/2 quarters. Midway through the 3rd quarter, Galesburg pulled within 2 points, but then Rock Island went on a 19-4 run and never looked back. The Silver Streaks shot 22 of 49 from the field, 3 of 12 3-pointers, and a perfect 3 of 3 from the free throw line. Galesburg pulled down 31 rebounds, had 13 assists and 18 turnovers in the game.
