The two major candidates running for Colorado governor this November have chosen their running mates. Democrat Phil Weiser , Colorado’s attorney general, last week announced Jefferson County Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper as his pick to be his lieutenant governor. Republican Victor Marx , a ministry leader and Marine veteran, announced George Markert — also a Marine veteran — as his pick. Markert said the lieutenant governor opportunity is a chance to “serve, to step up and lead,” adding that Colorado has “been on the wrong track for quite some time.”
