Dorrance and Chelsea Hoy, co-artistic director of Trinity Irish Dance Company, will partner for the NOW: Premieres piece, which includes not only artists from Trinity Irish Dance Company, but also tap dancers and stars from New York City Ballet — including Tiler Peck. Just as Dorrance has furthered tap, Trinity Irish Dance Company has expanded the scope of Irish dance. “It led to a very fascinating work that isn’t a tap dance piece, but it’s also not an Irish dance piece. In addition to the NOW: Premieres, Trinity Irish Dance Company will perform a piece called “Push” a few times throughout the Vail Dance Festival. After the Vail Dance Festival closes, Trinity Irish Dance Company presents a full performance Aug. 28 at the Vilar Performing Arts Center.
