In fact, it’s the largest town in Eagle County. Yet, unlike every other one of those communities, Edwards isn’t actually a town. Ultimately, the answer for most services and decisions is the Eagle County commissioners. An incorporated town of Edwards could make its own decisions about planning, zoning, downtown improvements, parks, local priorities and economic development. If not, Edwards can just maintain the distinction as the biggest town that isn’t.
