The body of a 10-year-old girl was recovered from the Passaic River Friday evening after a days-long search for the child, who was swept into the river earlier this week. An 11-year-old girl was able to get out of the river on her own, but rescuers were not able to immediately find a 10-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl. The child was recovered about 100 feet from the Market Street bridge, Lora said. He brought her family to the site, where the mother was able to see her daughter for the last time. Lora urged families to tell their children to stay away from the bodies of water in local parks.
