In the Regional Semifinal game Tuesday night at Peoria Richwoods, the Galesburg High School girls basketball team completed a season sweep of Geneseo by defeating the Maple Leafs for the third time by a final score of 49 - 36. The Streaks advance to the Regional Finals versus the #3 seed Dunlap Eagles at Peoria Richwoods Thursday (2/20) night. Galesburg finished the night 18 of 55 from the field, 7 of 23 from the three-point line, and 6 of 9 from the charity stripe. The Streaks were led in scoring by Ella Herchenroder with 17 points, Zaniyah Carter scored 13 points, Grace Herchenroder finished with 8 points, and Lily Furrow had 6 points. Along with scoring 17 points, Ella finished the night with 6 steals, 3 assists, and a couple of rebounds.
