Investing.com -- U.S. embassies in Baghdad, Jerusalem, Amman and the U.S. Mission to the UAE all issued emergency security alerts on Saturday urging Americans to consider departing the region and prepare for flight cancellations and airspace closures.
The alerts warned that Iran and its affiliated groups may target U.S. interests, businesses and citizens worldwide, including in countries where such attacks have not previously occurred.
Bahrain also condemned the strikes, calling on Iran to halt its "repeated attacks on civilian and vital facilities" in Kuwait.
A separate senior Iranian security official also told Tasnim that Tehran had prepared "a comprehensive plan" to retaliate against any U.S. strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including targeting Israeli infrastructure and "U.S. energy infrastructure in the region."
The U.S. is also considering strikes on Iranian oil refineries and power plants, CBS reported.
