According to police, a home in the 2100-block of Sifton Avenue was the subject of a search warrant executed on July 23 as part of an investigation into the alleged possession and production of prohibited firearm parts. “As a result of the search, investigators seized a variety of items including ammunition, 3D-printed licence plates, firearm barrels, suppressors, firearm slides and body armour, along with police patches,” RCMP Cpl. Napier said a person found inside the home was briefly detained and then released, but the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000.
