SRINAGAR: Intermittent spells of rain and thundershowers are expected across Jammu and Kashmir until August 7, with heavy showers likely in parts of the Jammu region and a continued risk of cloudbursts, flash floods and landslides in vulnerable hilly areas, according to the latest weather forecast. The forecast indicates that while rain and thunderstorms are likely on most days over the coming week, prolonged or continuous rainfall is not expected. Most areas are likely to remain dry for a significant part of the day, with rainfall occurring in short, localised spells. Most parts of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive rain or thundershowers on August 3, with activity in several areas expected towards the evening. A spell of rain or thundershowers is also possible at scattered places on August 4.
