SRINAGAR: Srinagar Police have claimed to have cracked a blind murder case within six hours of recovering an unidentified body from a canal in Khanyar, arresting a woman and her son in connection with the killing. According to police, the two allegedly fled Srinagar after the crime in an attempt to evade arrest. The deceased was subsequently identified as Nazir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Kalantpora, Hawal. Police said the investigation revealed that Bhat was allegedly murdered inside the rented accommodation of the accused following a financial dispute. The body was then allegedly disposed of in the Babademb Canal in an attempt to conceal the crime and destroy evidence.
