May 12, 1938 – July 3, 2026Newell Paul Campbell passed away on July 3rd at his home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Born Mary 12th, 1938 to Paul and Hortense Campbell in Great Falls, Newell grew up in the small town of Denton, Montana. At University of Colorado, Newell majored in geology and competed on the varsity rifle team, which ranked #2 nationally at the time. Newell said the best thing he ever did was marry his wife, Marsha Ellen Brown, from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Newell is survived by his wife Marsha Brown Campbell of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; brother Roger Campbell of Denton, Montana; daughter Jill Campbell Queen of Bainbridge Island, Washington; son Paul Campbell of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; grandson Campbell Queen and granddaughter-in-law Natasha Queen of London, England; and grandson Daniel Queen of Brooklyn, New York.
