The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to the transformation of Rwanda’s agricultural landscape as a strategic pathway to ensuring national food security and fostering inclusive economic development.
He introduced the Government’s plan to increase agricultural output by 50%, which encompasses multiple initiatives including integration of advanced technologies in the agricultural value chain, the optimization of land use, the mitigation of climate change impacts, and increasing access to fertilizers.
The Prime Minister concluded his address by emphasizing that the modernization of the agricultural sector remains integral to enhancing the welfare of citizens through increased productivity and sustainable resources.
