RENO, NV -- Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs Commandant Todd Jacobus, was awarded the prestigious Veterans of Foreign Wars Commander-in-Chief Gold Medal of Merit and Citation recently at the 127th VFW National Convention in Reno, Nevada. The award was presented by VFW Commander-in-Chief Carol Whitmore -- who notably made history as the first woman and first Iowan to hold this top national position.
