['Matt James']
B98.5 – Central Maine\'s Country – Augusta/Waterville Country Radio
With the first day of school now only about a month away, districts across Maine are once again struggling to find enough bus drivers to transport students.
According to WGME 13, more than two dozen school districts in southern Maine currently have openings for school bus drivers.
Saco Schools Transportation Director Jeanne Anderson told WGME 13 that the district is currently training one prospective driver who is getting close to receiving her license.
Anyone interested in becoming a school bus driver should contact their local school district for information about available positions, licensing assistance, training and potential hiring incentives.
