Kurt Bell was an all-stater on arguably one of the best teams in Galesburg Silver Streaks football history. He’s a two-time member of the Galesburg Athletic Hall of Fame — both as an individual and as a member of the 1980 football team that was inducted in 2022. He went on to play football at Indiana State University where he was honorable mention All-American and first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference for the Sycamores. Kurt Bell is the longtime president and CEO of HUI Manufacturing in Kiel, Wisconsin. He joined WGIL's Jay Redfern to look back at the special 1980 football season and about growing up in Galesburg, a town he still fondly remembers.
