Greenwell Springs, Louisiana - Barry L. Elkins, a resident of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 79. Barry is survived by his wife, Angela; his two daughters, Barrie Hidalgo and Amanda Elkins, and his two sons, Mathew Lopez and Parker Elkins. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Elkins, his mother, Amelia Elkins, and his brother, Alan Elkins. Like his father, Barry loved to grow a large garden with corn and peas. This year, Barry, Angela, and Indian Mound Baptist Church Youth Group are sending six hundred wonderfully packed boxes.
