We always hear the phrase, “like father, like son,” and that certainly holds true for Mick and Shawn Hickey. For the last 55 years and counting, someone from the Hickey family has either taught, coached, or played sports at Galesburg High School. Mick Hickey started teaching and coaching at GHS in 1969, capping his hall of fame career in 2007. Mick’s son Shawn is a longtime teacher and coach who’s in his first year at the helm of the Silver Streaks. Mick and Shawn join WGIL's Jay Redfern to talk a little about the father and son dynamic.
