Submitted photoThe July meeting/luncheon of the Elkins Purple Majesties took place at the Knot Just Another Barn, which was decorated to celebrate an old-fashioned Independence Day. The tables featured red, white and blue tablecloths. The Red Hat ladies dressed in red, white and blue and had a short meeting, then sang Happy Birthday to the July birthday red-hatter, Charlotte Thomas. Food for this fun-filled afternoon was the typical picnic of hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, homemade potato salad and chips. The afternoon was a perfect celebration thanks to Kim Ross and her elite cooks, and to Red Hat hostesses Charlotte Thomas and Gayle Zirkle.
