ACCOUNTANCY Dean Patricia Empleo has been appointed acting vice rector for academic affairs, the Office of the Secretary General announced on Saturday, Aug. 1.
It also obtained Asean University Network – Quality Assurance Group (AUN-QA) certification for the accountancy program.
Empleo spoke about the importance of internal accounting controls in the 2025 Discurso de Apertura or the inaugural lecture of the academic year.
Peralta had served as vice rector for academic affairs since 2017.
Peralta, a licensed physical therapist, was dean of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences from 2012 to 2017.
