Bhandari hosts vector-borne disease awareness drive

(DIPR Photo)Bhandari, July 31 (MExN): A sensitisation programme on vector-borne diseases was held at the Bhandari Town Hall on July 30 under the National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme (NVBDCP), with the theme "Fight the Bite, Defeat Vector Borne Diseases."
Speaking at the programme, Extra Assistant Commissioner Kilangtemsu said the medical department, with the support of the district administration, has remained active in preventing vector-borne diseases through public awareness campaigns and sanitation drives.
Joint Director and State Programme Officer, NVBDCP, Dr. Imnapokim, spoke on the transmission, symptoms, prevention and treatment of malaria, dengue and Japanese encephalitis.
The programme was attended by members of the Bhandari Town Council, Bhandari Town Lotha Hoho, Eloe Hoho Bhandari, GBs, church leaders, villagers and health workers.
