(DIPR Photo)Tseminyu, July 31 (MExN): The District stakeholders’ consultation meeting under Mera Resham Mera Abhimaan (MRMA) 2.0, the National Mega Sericulture Technology Transfer Campaign of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Tseminyu, on July 31.
The consultation brought together progressive farmers, farmer groups, entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs), youth, women stakeholders and other key stakeholders to deliberate on the strategic implementation of MRMA 2.0 in Tseminyu district.
Delivering a detailed presentation, Dr Kaiho Kaisa outlined the vision, objectives and expected outcomes of MRMA 2.0, emphasising the role of scientific technology transfer in enhancing raw silk production, improving productivity and increasing farmers’ income.
The recommendations and insights generated during the consultation will serve as key inputs for the preparation of the District Sericulture Development Plan (DSDP) and the district-specific action plan under MRMA 2.0.
