44 law students complete NSLSA internship

Officials of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority with the 44 law student interns during the culmination programme of the NSLSA Summer Internship Programme 2026 at the DC Conference Hall, Kohima, on July 31.
He said the internship programme was conceived to bridge the gap between legal education and practical legal practice by exposing students to the realities of the justice delivery system.
He also shared data on the state's judicial pendency, stating that records from 11 judicial district courts showed 4,627 cases pending as of June 2026, while 639 cases had been disposed.
The month-long internship, conducted during July, saw 44 law students undergo practical training.
They also participated in legal awareness programmes organised by District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs).
