The NFA conveyed its approval for the WDFA to organise the sixth edition of the state-level futsal championship in 2027. The association further stated that the WDFA may coordinate with the NFA Futsal Committee for all necessary preparations and organisational matters related to the tournament. The 6th Nagaland Futsal Club Championship is expected to bring together leading futsal clubs from across the state, providing a platform to promote the sport and strengthen grassroots football development in Nagaland.
