Flooding at Simaluguri disrupts NFR train services

Dimapur, July 31 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced further cancellations, partial cancellations and diversions of train services due to continued flooding and heavy rainfall at Simaluguri and adjoining areas in Assam's Sivasagar district under the Tinsukia Division.
Several long-distance trains, including the Rajdhani Express, Avadh Assam Express, Kamrup Express, Vivek Express, and other express services, have been diverted via alternative routes through North Lakhimpur, Rangapara North, Rangiya and New Bongaigaon on various dates between July 31 and August 4.
15669 (Guwahati-Dibrugarh), commencing its journey on August 2 and 3, will terminate at Mariani and remain cancelled between Mariani and Dibrugarh.
15670 (Dibrugarh-Guwahati), commencing on August 3 and 4, will originate from Mariani, with services between Dibrugarh and Mariani remaining cancelled.
NFR has also cancelled several passenger and DEMU services, including the Jorhat Town-Tinsukia Passenger, Tinsukia-Lumding DEMU, Guwahati-Ledo Intercity Express, Ledo-Guwahati Intercity Express, Rangiya-New Tinsukia Intercity Express, Ledo-Rangiya Passenger, and Simaluguri-Dibrugarh Passenger on specified dates.
