The procession began at Jubilee Memorial College, Aongza, and culminated at Eden Academy, Kumlong. District Cultural Officer Moses Newmai, the guest of honour, said the Vine Pulling Procession historically represented the community’s effort to drive away evil spirits and illness from the village and prepare for the blessings of the festival. The programme featured a wide range of cultural songs, dances and plays presented by students from various grades.
