Nagaland: ‘Education must always integrate knowledge with values’

Speaking at the DBHSS Kohima Annual School Science & Arts Exhibition 2026 at the School Auditorium, held under the theme, “Igniting Ideas, Inspiring Change,” on July 31, he asserted that “in such a future, education cannot remain limited to textbooks and examinations alone.”
He said that “our students must learn to think critically, solve problems creatively, collaborate effectively, communicate confidently, and most importantly, adapt continuously.”
“That is why,” he added, “at Don Bosco, we believe education must always integrate knowledge with values, innovation with ethics, excellence with humility, and success with service.”
Students bringing solutions to local problemsAddressing the gathering as the special guest, Er Onongoto Soleho, Chief Mentor, IHub & SEC, Department of Science & Technology, Nagaland, observed that earlier there was only a Science Exhibition and no Arts Exhibition.
He urged all the students to not only pay attention to their academics but also take part in all co-curricular activities.
