SIR: 16.4% names deleted from Haryana draft voter list, 10% in Andhra Pradesh

Nearly 45 lakh names were deleted in Andhra Pradesh’s draft roll and 33.8 lakh in Haryana after the enumeration phase in the two states concluded on July 24.
More than 7.6 lakh names, or 3.7% of the electorate, were deleted as they had been marked as deceased.
More than two lakh names, or 0.9% of the electorate, were removed because of duplications.
More than 15.2 lakh names, or 3.6% of the electorate, were deleted as they had been marked as deceased.
Earlier in July, more than 22 lakh names were removed from the voter lists of four states Odisha, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim.
