Tassja Mitchell(CNS): The Law Courts have appointed Tassja Mitchell to the Legal Aid Office as legal aid counsel to provide advice and legal representation to eligible members of the public in civil cases.
Getting legal aid for non-criminal cases can be challenging, and the appointment of an attorney for this purpose will be a significant help to those navigating the legal landscape of civil action.
In accordance with the Legal Aid Act, the legal aid counsel can provide legal representation and give legal advice in civil matters as approved, after consultation with the chief justice.
