Buccarello also underscored the importance of promoting interreligious dialogue, particularly with the Muslim community. The Minister General of the Trinitarian Missionaries noted that Madagascar has evolved from a mission territory to a source of missionaries for the universal Church. Today, he said, the Trinitarian Order has more than 200 religious serving in eleven dioceses across Madagascar, adding up to fifteen Dioceses when communities of the Trinitarian Sisters are included. More than 40 Malagasy Trinitarian Religious are currently serving as Missionaries in seven countries, supporting communities facing declining vocations and increasing secularization. On July 30 and 31, the national gathering, "Somos Familia," will unite around 1,200 Trinitarian men and women religious, along with lay participants.
