Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The attorney representing Shiloh Hendrix has filed an official notice of appeal in Olmsted County court.
Notice of Appeal FiledThe notice states that the Minnesota Court of Appeals is being asked to review the 37-year-old former Rochester woman's disorderly conduct conviction.
Last week, an Olmsted County jury found Hendrix guilty of one of the two misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges brought against her in connection with a racially charged incident at a Rochester park last year.
The video depicts Hendrix being accused of directing a racial slur at a young child and then using the same slur against the man recording the video on his cellphone.
After the child climbed onto a piece of playground equipment, prosecutors alleged Hendrix repeatedly addressed the boy using a racial slur as she snatched the applesauce pouch from his hand.
