New federal employment data shows the state added 10,500 construction jobs between June 2025 and June 2026, a 7.7 percent increase. Louisiana also added 2,000 construction jobs from May to June, showing that the hiring increase was not limited to one project or one part of the year. Once operating, the campuses are expected to create 540 direct jobs and support approximately 1,700 additional jobs across Northwest Louisiana.
