Diamond Necklace on her way to winning the Group 1 Nassau Stakes. Diamond Necklace is a special filly and took the step into all age company in her stride, running out a very comfortable winner under Ryan Moore. Across our range of in-race metrics, Diamond Necklace was entirely dominant, and I couldn’t build any sort of case for any her rivals reversing this form from the data. Those older fillies set a very fair standard, yet neither of them could lay a glove on Diamond Necklace when Moore asked her to quicken. The late speed figures recorded by Diamond Necklace and the way she galloped through the line suggest to me that she could’ve found more had it been required.
