You have just over a week remaining to catch some of the best musicians in the Midwest at Birch Creek Music Performance Center. The second big band jazz session is down to just 15 performances across the county before the curtain closes on the academy season Aug. 8, including seven full shows on its Egg Harbor campus. Hundreds of students and faculty members called Birch Creek home this summer, traveling from across the country to participate in one of the four summer sessions. Adult retreats begin the following week, with free concerts featuring the wind ensemble Aug. 15, chamber music Aug. 20 and piano Aug. 24.
