Former Southern Door, Notre Dame, and NFL football player Jim Flanigan will be among those honored as part of the festivities surrounding the Wisconsin-Notre Dame game at Lambeau Field in September.
Before earning honorable mention All-American honors at Notre Dame and beginning a 10-year NFL career that included one season with the Green Bay Packers, Flanigan starred for the Eagles.
Knute Rockne Memorial Society Executive Director and Notre Dame football historian Jim Lefebvre says Flanigan's experience served him well in South Bend.
Door County Baseball League scribe Herb Gould will be one of the three authors featured at the history night on Sept. 3.
He will be discussing his book "Lambeau: The Epic Life of EarlLouis "Curly" Lambeau, the Man Who Invented the Green Bay Packers."
