Going into the severe weather and heavy rain we were on track to be the driest July on record. Despite that soaking rain we are still over an inch below-average on rain for the month of July. But the steady rain Friday into Saturday could be a drought buster. By the midday hours we might start to see some showers return and then by late afternoon the steady rain arrives. Once that steady rain arrives it may last 12-18 hours in any given location through the late morning hours of Saturday.
