MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Charges are now filed against a Milwaukee man accused of violently attacking a 99-year-old woman inside her home Monday, July 27. Court records show 23-year-old Joseph Macias is charged with battery to an elder person, first degree reckless injury, and burglary of a building or dwelling. Police responded to the woman's home near 13th and Layton around 8 a.m. after the victim called 911 herself. and told the officer the elderly woman in another room was his grandma. Officers spoke with a family member of Macias who told them he was at the bar with him that night.
