(Batesville, IN) – Drivers should prepare for delays and lane restrictions along State Road 46 as a paving and traffic improvement project moves through Batesville. Work is scheduled to begin Sunday evening, August 2, and continue through Tuesday, August 11, weather permitting. Once paving is complete, subcontractors will begin grooving the roadway and installing new pavement markings. Much of that work will be completed as a rolling operation, but drivers could encounter localized delays while crews finish detailed markings. Final phase: Traffic subcontractors will move from intersection to intersection to complete detector housings and traffic loops.
