The University of North Dakota has added Kat Montuya to the Fighting Hawks’ coaching staff as an assistant coach, announced head coach Jordan Stevens. “We are thrilled to add Coach Montuya to our team,” said Stevens. Montoya spent the past two seasons at Wagner (2024-26), serving as a graduate assistant. In a statement by the university Montuya said, “I am honored to join the UND softball program and can’t wait to get started.” During Montoya’s time at Wagner she also served as the program’s director of softball operations which included multiple responsibilities from team logistics, travel arrangements, and equipment management.
