ACR Poker Pro Chris Moneymaker has offered an exclusive look at the decision-making behind the hand that ended his 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event on the money bubble. The 2003 WSOP Main Event champion entered Day 4 with 221,000 chips, equal to approximately 27.6 big blinds. His decision was also shaped by Antonio Vargas, whom Moneymaker considered an active player capable of taking advantage of the pressure surrounding the bubble. Believing Vargas could make the move with a wider range than a more conservative opponent, Moneymaker continued in the hand. According to Moneymaker, the river call was not based on the belief that his own hand could beat Vargas’ value range.
